The 2011 Cybersocket Web Awards…

or better named the PornCrush Awards unspooled at The Factory in West Hollywood Monday night and by all accounts the 11th Cybersocket shindig was the biggest and best attended ever. How big? Any larger and next years show will need to be moved to The Avalon in Hollywood!

Over 500 pornstars,industry honchos,directors,photogs,bloggers,crew,fans (a large contingent of female gay porn fans) converged on a Monday night (yeah cheap venue rental) to celebrate a raucous Porn Peoples Choice Awards with pornstars nominated and voted on by a record 11,000 pornfans this year.

With the apparent decline of the GayVN’s into irrelevancy The February Cybersockets and the Industry centric and voted Grabbys in May may be the preeminent GAY themed Porn Awards shows.The XBIZ Awards and AVN controlled GayVN are part of the straight biz which treat Gay Porn as a step-child.

And who knows how to party best?

So I was asked was there drama? Fights? Catty boo’s and Boy Friends punching each other out? Nope this was a big love fest maybe it was the weather which was near 80 in WeHo yesterday everyone was on best behavior. And as for getting along hell even two restraining order encumbered former boy-friends made up.(Steven Daigle & Trent Locke) I wondered who slipped the Kumbaya Juice into the Factory booze!

I was guest of fellow blogger and dynamite writer Victor of MOCblog, veteran photographer Donatella and a very handsome guest Bryan. We drove to LA in record time, always a welcome change from what can be a 4 hour hellacious crawl. Time indeed for a light dinner at Fresh and Easy, (hmm West Hollywoods boys unofficial motto?) then a block over to The Factory when we noticed the searchlights pop on.

We were early in fact our quartet and Wolf Hudson and AnnieFUCKINCruz were the first in the building, which turned out to be a smart choice. The booze was free till ten and by 9:30 a couple of hundred people converged all at once and spent way too long in line according to Jimvr.

Meanwhile upstairs I got a chance to chat up Marcus Mojo and Samuel O’Toole the Next Door Exclusive Trophy Boys for the evening and Next Door President Stephan Sirad before the place was packed like a meat market. Pun intended! Not a trophy stud this year but should have been was Tyler Toro who has just hit the rounds at Next Door and looks to be their next Studio Stud according to Stephan Sirard . Like Marcus Mojo,Tyler has a strong female following and I think this sexy leo will be a standout in 2011.

As soon as the bar started to fill up and pornstars made their way to the red carpet photo opportunity spot (okay they moved it indoors so what else do we call it) the temp in the room began rising and anytime that many young men congregate the shirts are coming off. I swear I never ogled so much smooth,waxed and perfected muscle outside of a concours auto show.

I can’t begin to name everyone I chatted with last night but a partial list early in the evening Jayden Grey looking sexy-stunning (great chatting with you!) Krys Perez and Brice Carson looking couplicious. Brent Corrigan in that sexy nerd shirt and bow tie (soon discarded) and his Working Hard model Andy Banks. Brent would snag the Best New Pornstar Website Award later in the evening and I congratulated him later (and kudos to Mark Wilson the web designer).

I met up with two Jet Set Men Ross Cannon and Rob Romoni who surprisingly I have never met a long overdue hug there! Former Sean Cody and Brent Corrigan & Brent Everett model Dayton O’Conner looked sexually lethal in a ballistic vest and camy shorts (with chaps). Howard Andrews of Fabscout was holding court with some of his boys (okay 3/4 of the industry are Fabscout models!) but finds time to talk to everyone.

The best part of the evening was the first hour and a half the meat and greeting if not for the free booze and all the shirtless pornstars you might have thought you wandered into a Church Social (Whisky-palian socials would not be a stretch). Once the award show started everyone one moved to the Factory Dance floor where DJ and Porn Director-atrix ChiChi Larue was spinning, Angel Benton was announcer and the hilarious, raunchy Chicos Angels were Triplet MC’s.

The Awards started late but made up for it by being read off,winners congratulated and speechifying in a little over 75 minutes which is good when your dealing with pornstars and fans and no cumshots to be seen. In short about a third of the audience decamped outdoors or to other venues after the first awards were handed out!

They missed one hot interlude about two thirds the way into the show a stunning young pole dancer who did a Cirque styler gymanstic routine on a giant suspended ring.
